Not all tool addicts are jewelers, but all jewelers are tool addicts. Excluding the metal I ordered, here’s what came the other day –
Well not those cute little bugs, those were a gift from a friend and keep me company in the shop. They’re inspecting the haul! Starting on the bottom and then working from 12 on the clock –
- 3M polishing papers
- Medium grit sanding discs
- Drill bits
- Ball burrs (in center, too)
- Parallel pliers
- Edge roller
- Bezel mandrel set
- Cylinder burrs
So there will be some burr practice coming up. Many burrs can be used for adding texture and decorative cuts to pieces, but are also useful for starting little divots to place your drill bit into for more stability and also for enlarging holes and creating recesses. Will also need some drill practice, too. I’ve only used punches to make holes in metal, not a drill so this should be interesting.
